  • Publicado el 02 de Agosto de 2018

KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, has announced its decision to build a third plant at its production base in Vietnam. This development will lead to increased production capacity in line with the acceleration of production of its multifunctional products (MFPs) and printers.

Production is expected to begin at the new plant in July 2019, with KYOCERA’s focus being to expand its production system, thereby enhancing the ability to produce parts in-house, and increase logistics efficiency to deal with the production increase of MFPs and printers. KYOCERA will also make active use of the Internet of Things, and a variety of other information sources, to visualise the production line operating status in the plant, thereby automating feedback on the collected data that will further improve efficiency across the plant.

The Vietnam Plant, which started production in October 2012, is the second overseas plant of KYOCERA Document Solutions after the Shilong Plant in China. The Vietnam Plant is intended to be a complex serving not only as a manufacturing base for MFPs and printers, but also as a Research & Development facility. For that purpose, the Vietnam Plant will relocate its Vietnamese employees to KYOCERA Document Solutions R&D Centre as trainees and provide this talented workforce with a working environment where they can fully exert their capabilities.

KYOCERA will continue to contribute to the stimulation of the Vietnamese economy by increasing the production of its document processing products and support the development of the local community by creating job opportunities, adding to the current figure of almost 4,500 currently working at the site, which spans over 200,000m.
