Another successful trade-show appearance for Zünd at Fespa

With a trifecta of highlights consisting of the LM 100W Cut & Seal Laser Module, dual-beam D3 cutter, and RM-L routing system, Zünd attracted a lot of attention. The LM 100W Laser Module impressed with its efficiency in simultaneously cutting and sealing polyester fabrics. Exceptional productivity and high-level material-handling automation were in focus on the dual-beam D3 cutter with Board Handling system BHS. And on the G3, Zünd showed off the RM-L system's high-performance, fully automated routing capabilities with jobs processing wood and acrylics, illustrating some of the many new opportunities the powerful 3.6 kW spindle provides for routing rigid materials.

At the Zünd booth, visitors also had a chance to experience the company's latest innovation, the Over Cutter Camera OCC. In a single shot, the OCC captures all registration marks visible in the cutting area. Zünd Cut Center then immediately proceeds to compensating for any material distortions and initiates the cutting process. This workflow is particularly useful for cutting textiles, where single-image capture technology results in significant time savings. The benefits of the OCC system were also recognized by the jury for the EDP Awards 2018. The European Digital Press Association awarded the Over Cutter Camera OCC a coveted EDP prize for "Best Finishing Support Tool" in the "Finishing/Enhancement" category.

Modular Zünd cutting systems are indispensable in a seamless digital production workflow. This was further evidenced by the fact that for finishing, exhibitors such as HP, Canon Océ, Kornit, and Dover Digital Printing all relied on Zünd cutting technology. At the HP booth, a Zünd cutter proved to be the perfect fit for finishing output from the company's latex digital printing systems. At the Kornit and Dover Digital Printing booths, visitors were able to see live demonstrations of Zünd's ability to reliably, precisely, and efficiently process stretch fabrics for garment and home-furnishing applications.

The "Digital Corrugated Experience" section of the show was another area where Zünd was able to establish many new contacts. With its own booth in the new demonstration and education area, Zünd had ample opportunity to promote the benefits of digital production for packaging and retail displays in one-on-one discussions with industry representatives.

The positive effect of Zünd's high-visibility approach could be felt in the Swiss market leader's order intake as well. "We are very happy with the contacts we made at the show. The quantity and quality of leads, as well as the international draw of the show, were a pleasant surprise. We got a lot of very positive feedback from visitors on the transparent, hands-on nature of the way we presented both our digital flatbed cutting technologies and our software solutions", says Stefan Lang, Head of Sales & Marketing.
